3 projects on newly developed products

The manufacturers dealing with Kyoto hand-painted yuzen will develop new products to promote their own studies as a product range under the following three themes.

  • Project to develop overseas markets through the development of saris products

  • Project to develop new markets through the development of fully custom-made dress fabrics

  • Project to develop new interior design products and cultivate inbound markets

A) Project to develop overseas markets through the development of saris products

The sari is the national costume of India, and the Kyo Yuzen Sari was developed to explore the connection with the kimono as the national costume of Japan. India contains great potential as an economic powerhouse and the potential market is large, as people of Indian culture live all over the world. We would like to qask the Indian society about the true value of Kyoto hand-painted yuzen.

B) Project to develop new markets through the development of fully custom-made dress fabrics

Kyo hand-painted yuzen products have historically been produced on a one-by-one basis, using advanced techniques and sophisticated design skills. Taking advantage of this inherent strength of Kyo-yuzen, we develop broadcloth with a design motif that can be accepted worldwide.
The production is designed to be autocouture and fully custom-made to reflect the tastes and sensitivities of consumers.

C) Project to develop new interior design products and cultivate inbound markets

New product development in the interior design field, such as roll curtains, bed runners and table runners, as products that combine Kyoto traditions and advanced technology and fully demonstrate these skills.
As the product for overseas markets and inbound tourists, we have reflected the tastes and sensibilities of individual consumers.
